Hold your horses, it seems that those of us who've stood in the middle of the shopping village at Olympia or Badminton exclaiming 'this is sooo BORING!!' have actually been heard. Equestrian clothing range Dublin have taken a head turning stride into the footwear arena with these statement making little red riding boots- part of a range to be launched next week at Badminton Horse Trials!

Don't get me wrong, I love traditional riding clothes but as I keep saying (zzzzz) there's also room for daring new designs that give our equestrian wardrobes a fashion edge.

Could it be that at last the equestrian clothing market is waking up to the fact some riders actually do want to get unstuck from the mud and stand out from the crowd. They might not necessarily be your cup of tea, you may even be coughing and spluttering right now, especially if you're still getting over riders," tut, tut", wearing shorter jackets in the show jumping arena but they're definitely a step forward as far as I'm concerned.
