I can't wait for the Olympics and not just because we have such strong equestrian teams. Sport is such a positive thing, and so is competition (although some idiotic schools disagree) and there's nothing wrong with being patriotic. What is it about the British-we seem to have made it a national sport to put ourselves down. If you do well, wait for it because the tide will soon turn and we'll knock you right off your pedestal-like some celebrity coconut shy!
Sorry for the rant, but I believe it's time to big up the Brits. So, when I was in my local tack shop a while back and they were unpacking the Toggi Team GBR collection I thought now's my chance to wear my country on my sleeve and pounced on their Haydock jacket.
I've always liked a blouson jacket, must be the 80's girl in me, but had been a bit put off by a previous purchase that rode up into my waistline everytime I bent over-very irritating. Luckily because this one is unisex, it's quite roomy (I was an XS) and gives some space to layer up come autumn. However it still gives you a neat shape and I think looks pretty cool. It's also waterproof but lightweight so has seen a lot of use so far during this warm 'n' wet British Summer.
The only drawback...my husband liked it so much he got one too, so now we have matching jackets -nooooo!
