the DIY hermes clutch bag-yes really!

One day I might be able to afford the real deal but for now finding this freebie DIY clutch from Hermes has made me a very happy bunny. There are six designs to download from the Hermes website but of course I'm particularly smitten with the graphic jump poles and the horse skeleton on the back of the Mexican Day of the Dead design.

All you have to do is click this link to 'travel the world of Hermes', click on the thumbnail 'I want it, I'll have it!' then download, cut out, fold, get sticking and 'ta-da' you've made your very own Hermes bag!

I've got a friend's birthday coming up so thought it would make a gorgeous envelope for her card and a small gift. I'm also going to try making it with thicker paper so it's a bit sturdier and when I have a bit of time fancy having a go at waxing (no not that sort!). Take a look at this tutorial on a very inspiring blog Small Good Things.

Get downloading now because it may not be available for long!
