hang ties put men back in stocks!

Just recently the director of the V&A was bemoaning the fact that once most British men have thrown off their schoolboy garb they're wearing fewer and fewer ties these days. Well, my response was 'hang ties, let's put men back in stocks'. I mean, there's something much more dashin' and debbonair about a man in a stock ain't there ladies. And so many fetchin' ways to tie 'em.......

Exhibit 3-Rupert Penry-Jones as Mr Wentworth in Persuasion.

 And I was so taken with a man in a stock-I married him. I rest my case!
